Affordability
Oshawa is among the highest tax-paying municipalities while average household incomes remain low. Selvan advocates for a better managed budget to relieve financial pressure on property and business owners.
Community Services & Quality of Life
Support the urgent development of a new recreation center in North Oshawa to eliminate overcrowding and give all children fair enrollment opportunities.
Business & Industry Support
Push for 7-day-a-week operational capabilities for Oshawa’s thriving home renovation industry, alongside upgrading waste management facilities to accept recyclable materials free of charge.
Direct Commitments
Pledging 6% of personal income to support the unhoused population in Downtown Oshawa, 2% to fight local crime, and 2% to maintain Ward 1 boulevards for cleaner air.
